Games on Net

Does it make me more stupid and apathetic to play on net?

Depends on what I am playing of course. There's many products that can enhance my intelligence, like playing chess for instance or strategic games where you need skills in how to build houses, roads and whole towns..

Then there are all the shooting and children's games.

I am a writer and I am publishing my novel in here. Writing takes a lot of mental and physical energy. I have to sit for hours to finish projects and a novel takes a lot of time to create...

In between I stop thinking and contemplating where to take my story and plot I turn on my bubble shooter, which is pure fun, really. It relaxes my brain and I feel good when I hit many bubbles.

What I am saying is that you don't have to get stupid or apathetic by this when I just feel joy. .. If I play on for days though in big war games and action games I may become lost in it, because it's so catching
but
Play on, but don't lose the grip on reality, because that's quite fantastic too!

On a deserted island

.. we could place 200 bureaucrats, 20 engineers, 6 politicians, 2 priests, 4 real estate agents and 100 merchants

How do you think this will end?
On this island, the climate is pleasant. It's possible to find a variety of fruits there and in the sea there's a plenty of fish and shells and mussels

The deported people mentioned above stay in different habitats. the politicians way up in the mountain sides, the bureaucrats at the foot of the mountain. The Engineers live on a chosen beach. The priests in the forest. The real estate agents live on a deserted small beach on the opposite side of the mountain from the engineers. The merchants are roaming around... waiting for the engineers to put up tents for them. They have made a secret deal. The two priests seem to be lost in the forest, no one has seen them since they were all dropped from the helicopter...

Anyone reading this; how will this adventure end - or work out?

American merchants

I am really in the mood today to lash out against merchants' morbid use of the net.

I am not saying they are all bad, but too many times, when they cross my path I am astonished and petrified by the way they act to sell their merchandize.

First of all they tell you in flashy texts and images how good their product is and what you will lose if you don't buy their product.

Then they produce a long, long list of truly satisfied customers who praise their products above any limit of exaggeration.

Then they present a free product, which is mainly worth nothing; as a bait of course...

If you are naive enough to believe in their noisy announcements and click the "order now" button, you might end up in a quagmire .

Now they have got you on their mail list and they start working on you; every day, even when you have unsubscribed the whole thing; they keep on coming back.

If you try to reply to their mails, they are never answering because it all comes down to their success in selling their crap, not to please the customer. Scavengers! Saprophytic creatures who suck your wallet empty and laugh all the way to the bank...

The strange thing is that these techniques of selling are only used by Americans.

I never came across a French or German or Scandinavian merchant doing this...

Why is this?

About Bureaucrats

They are put to service by the politicians to protect the elected candidates from infamous questions and behavior.

They are set behind desks to "serve" us, the public; for our own best, of course. They look upon us as imbeciles, because we do not understand, in our stupidity, their rules and the importance of their work.

They live by protocol and serve by protocol; as such they can be looked upon as robots; nothing can exist and function outside their protocol.

So, I ask you all: who are stupid? Who with a functioning mind would take an education to bother people about trivialities? Why are they doing this dirty work for the politicians? They do not make too much money; other than bribes of course...

When you sometimes just cannot avoid using their service, you must be very patient and forthcoming: "Of course I am going to take the trip to the Foreign Affairs Office, which lies a six hours' bus ride away from where I seek assistance; to have a stamp on this document". "Of course I am an idiot who cannot understand your rules and regulations; you see; unfortunately I am not a bureaucrat."

What kind of people would apply for this kind of job? What is their purpose? I have mentioned some of their functions, but honestly I cannot see the significance of these services.

I have seen people break down and cry because they cannot get through the regulations and manifests that these bureaucrats issue; and are controlled by (themselves!); maybe they are all masochists and enjoy being punished with a life as a robot? Their karma must be very poor...

A friend of mine who worked for a certain embassy in Delhi told me a fascinating story about the bureaucratic monstrous system in India. He was a clerk or more like it; an errand boy. It was his task to collect mail and documents from public offices run by bureaucrats. They were all situated in a huge building with offices for all kinds of federal services In the middle of this building were large halls; on all 18 floors. In these halls there were people sitting in glass boxes issuing tickets for the various services rendered. Around these boxes people were arguing, fighting and selling and buying tickets all the time... So; who had the power in this building? The masters of the boxes outrun the clerks at any rate!
